đź’§ Hydrant Flushing Information

đźš° What is Hydrant Flushing?

Hydrant flushing is a routine maintenance procedure where water is flushed through the fire hydrants to clear out sediment and ensure the hydrants and water mains are working properly. This helps maintain water quality and reliable fire protection for the Village of Warrens.

đź“… Hydrant Flushing Schedule

  • Hydrant flushing takes place twice a year, usually in the spring and fall.
  • In 2025, the flushing is scheduled for:
    Spring: May 12 – May 16, 2025
    Fall: TBD

⚠️ What Residents Should Expect

  • Water may appear discolored or rusty during flushing — this is normal and temporary.
  • Please avoid doing laundry during flushing days to prevent staining clothes.
  • Run your cold water tap for a few minutes if you notice discoloration.
  • If problems persist, contact the Village Office.
